Model — How we engineer

The Outcome Model.

A dedicated way of working for companies that want engineering services, deliverables, and outcomes — accelerated by AI, held to a quality bar, and sized to the work.

Don't sell engineering resources. Sell engineering outcomes, accelerated by AI.

Perfectz provides flexible, accountable engineering services and delivery capabilities. The commercial conversation is about the service, the deliverable, and the person who owns the result.

Four commitments

01

Outcomes, commissioned

Work starts from a written outcome: what will be true in the product or platform, and how anyone can tell. The pod is a consequence of that outcome. Seats are not the product.

02

AI inside the workflow

Pods use modern AI coding tools. Generated changes are reviewed. Model-backed features carry an evaluation, not only a demonstration. Speed comes from the workflow. The quality bar stays written down.

03

Quality is a delivery function

Test strategy, automation, and release engineering sit in the pod with the people building the product. Evidence is produced while the software changes. This is a Perfectz differentiator, and it applies to every practice.

04

Accountable, elastic capacity

A delivery lead owns the outcome. The pod can include full-stack, mobile, web, cloud, QA, and AI engineers. Capacity grows and contracts with the work, so the company pays for engineering service.

The pod

Composed for the outcome.

A pod is the group that can deliver the brief. It is not a bench rented by the seat. Roles appear when the outcome needs them.

  • Delivery lead

Owns the outcome, the sequence, and the gate.

  • AI-enabled engineers

Build with modern coding tools and own the review.

  • Full-stack, web, mobile

The product surfaces the outcome actually touches.

  • Cloud and DevOps

The path from change to a releasable environment.

  • QA and release

Strategy, automation, and the evidence before ship.

  • Product-minded ownership

Scope held against the definition of done.

Five movements.

  1. 01

    Frame

Write the outcome, the constraints, the systems involved, and the signals that will show the work is done.

  2. 02

    Compose

Assemble the pod for that outcome: a delivery lead, the engineers the work needs, and quality inside the same group.

  3. 03

    Build

Ship in short cycles. AI coding tools sit in the workflow, with review on the changes that matter.

  4. 04

    Prove

Automated tests, evaluation where AI changes behaviour, and a release gate that is allowed to hold.

  5. 05

    Adjust

Capacity and scope move with what the outcome still requires. The next slice is chosen from evidence.

Shapes

How the work is commissioned.

Commercials follow the service. An outcome cycle has a defined scope. A pod has a horizon and a capacity that can change when the outcome changes. Deliverables, quality evidence, and the people accountable for them are named before work starts.

01

Dedicated engineering pod

A standing pod for a product, platform, or programme. The outcome spans long enough that the mix of skills should stay coherent, with a delivery lead who remains accountable.

02

Outcome cycle

A bounded commission: one capability, one migration slice, or one intelligent feature, with a definition of done and a quality gate.

03

Transformation programme

Legacy modernisation or AI integration sequenced into increments the business can release and operate.

04

Quality embed

Test architecture, automation, and release engineering placed with an existing team so speed and release confidence move together.

What a buyer should be able to see.

01

A written outcome

What will be true when the slice is done, in language a product owner and an engineer can both use.

02

A named delivery lead

One person who can answer for the pod, the sequence, and the quality bar.

03

Evidence before the word finished

The tests, evaluations, and release notes that will exist before the work is called complete.

Questions worth asking first.

Start a brief

Tell us the outcome.

We will reply with the shape of an engagement: the pod, the first slice, and how quality will be proved.
